Itinerary March 12-22, 2025 

3/12/2025: 

Gather at Leonardo Da Vinci airport at 12 noon. Depart from airport to St Peter Church for a tour. Head to hotel Villa Mercede for check in where we will introduce the tour and savor a delightful dinner. Our stay here extends for an additional two nights. https://www.villamercede.com/  

3/13/2025: 

Breakfast at the hotel, depart for Rome around 8 am. Visit the Roman Forum and the Colosseum. Then free for lunch and shopping in the area. 3:30 pm Wine Tasting at “azienda agricola Olivella” Explore the cellar in Frascati to savor the renowned wines of the Castelli Romani with the sommelier. Return to the hotel for dinner. After dinner you may wish to take a leisurely walk to the town center to sample some delightful gelato.

3/14/2025: 

Breakfast at the hotel. 8:00 am depart for Rome to meet the tour guide for a visit of Rome’s piazzas’; Navona, Venezia, Spanish Steps & the beautiful Trevi Fountain. Lunch and shopping on your own. 3:30 pm depart to the hotel for our first cooking class with a well-known chef where we will have the opportunity to prepare and taste some Roman cuisine. Dinner at the hotel.

3/15/2025: Breakfast at the hotel. Check out of the hotel and head toward Siena, stopping in the afternoon at Montepulciano at the splendid “CROCIANI” winery for a tasting of Chianti wines and cured meats. Depart for Siena and when we arrive, we will have a tour of Siena. Transfer to hotel, dinner and overnight stay. http://www.borgosantippolito.it/ & https://www.crociani.it/

3/16/2025: 

Breakfast at the hotel. 8:30 am departure for our excursion to Florence, meeting with the guide and visit the city symbol of the Italian Renaissance. Walk along the river and free time for lunch. 3pm return to the hotel for a cooking class at the restaurant "il Vecchio Convento" where together with chef Marco Colomboli we will cook dishes from Tuscan history, "Il Peposo" and the "Ribollita", peasant dishes that are still very appreciated today. Dinner at the restaurant and overnight stay in the hotel.

3/17/2025: 

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Verona, crossing the Apennines mountains & arriving in the Po Valley. Then Modena, the land of the Parmigiana Reggiano & Balsamic Vinegar. We will visit a dairy farm where we will have brunch & then we will visit the famous “Giusti” vinegar factory. Evening spent at hotel with dinner.

3/18/2025: Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your professional guide in Verona & visit the historic center, Arena, Piazza delle Erne, Romeo & Juliet’s Balcony & much more. Lunch and dinner on your own, lots of time for shopping. Walk back to the hotel on your own time. https://crowneplazaverona.com

3/19/2025: 

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Venice. Take a private boat to Murano to witness glass blowing at a factory. Murano glass shopping time before our boat ride to Piazza San Marco for free time in the city with the option to do a Gondola ride. Lunch will be on your own. 3:00 PM we will leave for Bagno di Romagna, a spa town on the hills of Romagna, where we will be hosted at the beautiful “Tosco Romagnolo” hotel of the great Chef Paolo Teverini (owner), together with his family. 3/20/2025: 

Breakfast at the hotel. 10:00 am meet for cooking lesson in the hotel, in which, dishes you cook will be served in the afternoon for lunch. Then we travel to a cellar for a tasting of “Sangiovese” wines, par excellence of Romagna, led by their Sommelier. Upon return to the hotel, you may choose to bathe in the thermal pool on the hotel roof before dinner. 3/21/2025: 

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Assisi for a guided tour of the city. Assisi is a hill town in Umbria, in central Italy. It is the birthplace of Saint Francis (1811-1226), one of the patron saints of Italy. The Basilica of San Francesco is an imposing church on 2 levels built in 1253. Lunch on your own. Back to Rome for a farewell dinner party for your final night in Italy. This hotel is located 3 km from Leonardo da Vinci Airport.

3/22/2025: 

Breakfast at the Hotel. Check out of hotel, take shuttle to the airport. Return home to America

No Refunds

Please make sure you purchase travel insurance when you book with us. This will be your best chance to recover any funds, in case of an emergency. There are other benefits too, like lost bags, etc. Review their cancellation guidelines carefully. We are unable to refund any money received at this special group rate.

If you cancel because you are unable to go, for whatever reason, there are no refunds on any money received.
