Caliendo Sports is excited to announce its baseball training trips to the Dominican Republic! Our baseball team will be competing as they travel throughout the beautiful city of Santiago from December 26, 2022, to January 1, 2023.
Join Caliendo Sports International for this incredible, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play baseball and immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of the Dominican Republic. Players will receive daily instruction from veteran coaches, focusing on the fundamentals of baseball and the finer aspects of the game through scrimmages and competitive matches against local Dominican teams.
This trip promises to be a truly amazing experience, and we encourage players to share it with family and friends. Parents, siblings, extended family members, and friends are invited to join us in enjoying international baseball and the rich Italian culture.
We will be selecting 12-14 players, ages 14-16, to represent the Caliendo Sports International Baseball Team. To apply for a roster spot, please fill out the player form located under the "SIGN UP FOR TEAM SECTION" on our website and email it back to us at Caliendosports91@gmail.com.
Upon receiving the player form, we will notify you about acceptance to the team, costs, and additional details. Please note that everyone must be part of the group package during the stay in Santiago, with no exceptions.
Included in the cost:
- Hotel Accommodations
- Transportation to games, sightseeing, practices, meals, and more.
- Meals: Breakfast and dinner (one dinner on your own at the beach) are included, except for the day we have lunch together, then dinner will be on your own.

Meet our dedicated coaching staff:
Xavier Paul: A former Team USA Youth National Team member with 2 gold medals, 4th round MLB draft choice, and a 15-year professional baseball veteran, Xavier brings unparalleled experience and expertise.
Dino Moran: A 1986 12th round MLB draft choice and former minor league infielder with over 25 years of high school baseball coaching experience, Dino is focused on developing young talent.
Peter Caliendo: As a former USA Baseball National Team Coach and the president of Caliendo Sports, Peter has taught coaches' courses in over 50 countries and is an international lecturer in baseball.
Included in the cost are:
- Welcome dinner upon arrival
- Daily games against strong teams, sometimes two games a day
- Practice with top coaches
- Practice sessions with Dominican players
- Visits to Puerta Plata Beach and Santiago Monument
- Shopping at outdoor markets for local souvenirs
- Lunch at the field to experience Dominican cuisine with local players
- Dinner on your own one night at TGI Fridays
- Tour of a Major League Stadium
Players have the opportunity to raise funds to cover part or all of their trip through our donation letter, which can be sent to family and friends. Inquire about this letter for more details.
Airfare details will be provided, including instructions on how to book and pay for flights, along with arrival and departure information.
Supervision is a priority; players traveling alone will be supervised by our staff and are required to stay with the group throughout the trip.
Sample itinerary (subject to change):
- Early breakfast (mandatory for players)
- Depart for practice or a morning game
- Lunch on your own or at the field
- Afternoon game or possibly two games
- Activities such as pool time, monument visits, shopping, or beach trips
- Dinner at the hotel, a buffet at another location, or TGI Fridays (some nights will be on your own)
- Evening meetings for players and parents to review the day’s baseball activities, enhancing the learning experience.
