Itinerary for the trip of November 4-15, 2025. (Trip details can be adjusted slightly due to Giubileo, Italian religious festival).

11/5/25: 

Arrive at Leonardo Da Vinci airport to meet with the group. Guided tour of St. Peter’s Church before arriving at https://www.villamercede.com, where we will introduce the tour and relish in a delightful dinner. Our stay here extends for an additional two nights. Note: Must depart 11/4 from USA.

11/6/25: 

Tour the Roman Forum and the Colosseum with our guide. Enjoy lunch on your own in the city center. Enjoy the views from this hillside winery in Frascati overlooking Rome and savor the renowned wines of Castelli Romani with a sommelier and enjoy some local appetizers. Dinner by renowned chef. Take a leisurely walk to town to sample some delicious gelato.

11/7/25: 

Explore Rome’s piazzas’; Navona,

Venezia, Spanish Steps & the beautiful Trevi Fountain. Lunch on your own. Back to the hotel for our first cooking class & tasting with Chef Simone. Then finish off the evening with the Chef’s dinner at our hotel.

11/8/25: 

Head toward Florence, stopping in Montepulciano at the splendid “CROCIANI” winery for a tasting of Chianti wines and cured meats. Then experience the Medieval town of Siena with our guide, where they hold the 16th century Il Palio horse race twice a year. 11/9/25:

Meet with the guide in Florence & visit Piazza de Miracoli, the Tower, Baptistery & Duomo. Walk along the riverbanks & enjoy lunch on your own and shopping. Dinner at the historical Monastery turned hotel where we stay. https://www.vecchioconventoristorante.it/

11/10/25: 

Our journey to Verona, crossing the Apennines & arriving in the

Po Valley. Then we visit Modena, the land of the Parmigiana Reggiano & Balsamic Vinegar. We will tour a 5-star Parmigiana factory and indulge on real antipasto. A tour & sampling at the famous “Giusti” vinegar factory . Evening spent at hotel with dinner.

11/11/25: 

Meet with our guide in Verona & explore the romantic, historic city center, Arena, Piazza delle Erne, Romeo & Juliet’s balcony. Great shopping. Lunch and dinner on your own. The beautiful hotel is walking distance to town. https://crowneplazaverona.com/

11/12/25:

We then travel to Venice to board a private boat to Murano to witness glass blowing at a factory. Enjoy free time in Piazza San Marco with the option to go on a Gondola ride (30 Euro). Lunch will be on your own. Next, we will travel to Bagno di Romagna, a spa town on the hills of Romagna, where we will be hosted at the beautiful “Tosco Romagnolo” hotel by owner and Michelin Chef Paolo Teverini. 11/13/25: 

We experience a different regions’ cooking class by Chef Paolo. We then get savor the dishes we cooked for lunch. In the afternoon we will explore Chef Paolo’s private Cantina. Before dinner, you may choose to soak in the thermal pool on the hotel roof. Chef’s dinner and overnight stay.

11/14/25: 

Departure for Assisi for a guided tour of the city. Assisi is a charming, hillside town in Umbria. The birthplace of Saint Francis (1811-1226), one of the patron saints of Italy. The Basilica of San Francesco is an imposing church on 2 levels built in 1253. Lunch on your own.
